Special series: Five ways to experience the Ecological Route

Where to stay on the Ecological Route: why a house changes how you discover Milagres

After exploring the land, the nature, the sea and the table of the Ecological Route, one decision shapes all the others: where to stay.

Houses and pool at Pontal da Enseada in Tatuamunha, Alagoas

For four weeks we followed the Ecological Route through its land, its nature, its sea and its table. To close the series, one choice is missing, the one that changes all the others: where to stay.

Because we don't all travel the same way. Some want to set out early and be back by the end of the day. Some alternate between beach and pool. Some travel with children, cook a few meals, try every restaurant, or plan the day around the tide. At Pontal da Enseada, the house doesn't tell you how to travel: it offers structure, services and local knowledge so that each guest can build their own way.

A house changes how you discover Milagres

Staying in a house lets you organise the trip differently.

You don't have to go out for every breakfast, lunch or dinner. You don't have to leave the pool because an outing has ended. And coming back from the beach doesn't mean the day's plans are over.

At Pontal da Enseada there are only two independent houses, each with two air-conditioned suites, a full kitchen and living areas, a terrace and access to the pool.

It is a setup designed for couples, families and groups who want to combine independence with services.

Go out when it's worth it. Stay in when you feel like it.

In the previous chapters we talked about the tide, the river trips, the activities on the sea and the food of the region.

All of that is out there, around you.

But a good stay doesn't have to turn into a string of bookings.

One day can start at the natural pools and end at home. Another can include a restaurant and an afternoon by the pool. There can also be days with no booked outing at all.

The advantage is being able to decide.

The independence of a house, with support during your stay

At Pontal, independence doesn't mean doing everything alone.

We offer housekeeping, and our team can help with shopping, bookings, restaurant recommendations and organising local experiences.

On top of that, every booking receives our exclusive guides to outings, food and shopping, prepared from what we know and follow closely in the region.

These are not generic lists found on the internet. They are part of the work of welcoming well those who chose Tatuamunha for their holidays.

Tatuamunha from the inside

Pontal is in Tatuamunha, in Porto de Pedras, within the Ecological Route of Milagres.

From here you can walk around the area, reach the beach and the river and, at the same time, use the house as a starting point to explore Patacho, São Miguel dos Milagres and other places in the region. See also how to get here.

That matters too.

A place to stay can be just where we leave our bags. Or it can help us better understand the place we decided to travel to.

What is your way of experiencing Milagres?

There is no right answer.

That is why we built Pontal as a house with services, not as a mandatory itinerary.

Now it's your turn
